Evalaze

Despite the consolidation hype, the number of applications businesses support is growing and becoming increasingly complex as more applications continue to be stacked on top of each other. These complex applications also need to operate simultaneously and seamlessly communicate with each other. Over time, the systems supporting such a complex web of intertwined software becomes increasingly fragile.

As a result, software deployments are increasingly expensive, support intensive and time consuming. IT faces months of time on multi-application regression testing, enduser support and downtime caused by unforeseen application conflicts. With Evalaze the software distribution is getting easier as it solves regression tests and integration problems. Therefore it serves a software usability that is free from functional conflicts and independent from the operating system.

The application is packaged in a single, self contained EXE file which can be used instantly. When the final EXE file exceeds a size of 1900 MB a DAT file is automatically created as primary data container. That allows you to use different applications without any installation on the host PC or server. The usage of virtualized software does not create entries in the registry and none DLL files are compiled on the host PC. All information which are required and the needed libraries are included in the EXE file. All User data and documents are saved in a sandbox. The sandbox can be placed to the same location like the EXE or at any other place. The evalazed application can run locally on the client or even run from portable hardware like USB devices. Therefore the usage on many different client scenarios is possible.

Also the easy deployment, the usability on clients without administrative rights and the possibility to use different versions of software at the same time is comfortable. Because you avoid changes in the system the security of these systems is warranted, all changes remain in the sandbox.

What is Application virtualization?

Software virtualization is a technology to run software applications without having to install it on the 'traditional' way. The application runs in a closed system for themselves, the virtual sandbox. This technology enables the operation of multiple applications on the same system. Thus, for example, an Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 and 9 can simultaneously operate on a system. Old applications can be used on new and modern operating systems again, and a virtualized application is portable.
